New Design
So I’ve decided that this blog needs an overhaul. I don’t mean the kind like Joe’s or Paul’s. I mean it needs to be presentable.
A way to communicate:
a) whats going on in my life
b) things that strike me as important and
c) a place to put my thoughts to allow people to get a glimpse of who I am.
The old theme just wasn’t conveying that. So I spruced it up a bit. It’s basically still the Kubrick theme. I changed colors, and fonts, and some divs/margins/padding, etc. Nothing major, just enough where I am happy with the look.
Things still on the todo list for the blog:
- privatize posts
- fix the navigation bar
- Fix lists and blockquotes.
- add something wicked cool
And, I realized that I really cannot stand the default post engine. So I’m probably going to switch to the TextMate bundle that saves lives: Blogging written by Brad Choate.
I also am disappointed that Firefox (on Mac OS X) doesn’t render Helvetica cleanly when in <small> tags. Safari does it beautifully, and I’m not sure what to do about it. Luckily the current readers all either use RSS, or Safari, so for the moment I am safe. I did however, make the links temporarily Verdana until I come up with an adequate solution (which will mostly likely be to say [best viewed in Safari]).
Oh. And in case you are wondering. The name of the theme is: cleanpointoh.
